Their are several different protections you can purchase along with your new vehicle. Sometimes these options can be confusing before you come to the dealership and we thought our Business Office could explain a little bit before you get here.

Manufacturer Warranty

The Ford Manufacturer Warranty on your new vehicle protects you from manufacturer defects for up to 36 months or 60000kms, whichever comes first. The front wheel drive Ford vehicles such as the Focus, Five Hundred, Mustang, Fusion, Taurus, Freestar, Freestyle all have 5 year or 100000km powertrain warranty which covers engine, transmission, and drive train from defects. A Lincoln's Manufacturer Warranty is for 4 years or 80000km and also inlcudes all of your maintenance for the 4 years.

Extended Warranty

An extended warranty at Steve Marshall Ford offers mechanical breakdown coverage for items beyond the manufacturer's original warranty. This protection will provide you with coverage on the vehicle's engine, transmission, front or rear wheel drive, air conditioning, brakes, cooling system, electrical, fuel system, front suspension and steering. Extended Warranty covers all parts, all labour, and all taxes you are only responsible for the first $100.00.

Our offered extended warranty will provide you with car rental allowance, emergency road side assistance, and trip interruption coverage and is transferrable if you decide to sell your vehicle during the term of coverage.

Road side assistance includes towing, jump starts, tire changing, lock-out service and gas or other fluid delivery.

Consumables such as oil, tune ups, belts hoses, shocks, tires, exhaust, battery and friction items which by their very use are designed to wear out are not covered by extended warranty.

Quality Care Maintenance Protection Plan

This particular Maintenance Protection Plan offered from Steve Marshall Ford and Ford Motor Co would be bought to cover vehicle consumables.

Vehicle consumables are considered all normal (every six months or 10,000kms) or optional (every three months or 5,000kms) scheduled maintenance using original equipment parts. This warranty package includes items which by their very use are designed to wear out, such as, spark plugs, shock absorbers, clutch disc, engine belts and hoses, brake pads and linings, and wiper blades.

The Quality Care Maintenance Protection Plan has a $0 deductible and includes all parts, labour and taxes, you pay absolutely nothing. Your vehicle will be covered with QCMPP no matter where in North America you are this package is honoured at all Ford Dealerships in the USA and Canada.

To make maintenance and appointment scheduling even easier, you will receive a complimentary key chain with a toll free number connecting you directly to our Service Department and Appointment Cooridinator.

Limited Maintenance Plan

This particular Maintenance Protection Plan offered from Steve Marshall Ford covers used vehicles. To qualify the purchased vehicle must be less than 8 years old and have less than 160,000km. Any make or model qualifies and both diesel and gas engines are covered.

The Limited Maintenance Plan includes 4 (four) Maintenance #1's and 2 (two) Tire Rotations and Road Side Assistance within 1 year or 20,000km of plan purchase date.

Road Side Assistance includes Towing, Jump Starts, Tire Changes, Lock-Out Service and Gas or other Fluid Delivery.
